February 5, 2012: Landed in Sydney at 8am today, and wasted no time in the city. I went out to Bondi Beach (with an estimated 30,000 others) and decided to try surfing on a whim. What an experience! By the time we got out, waves were 3-5’ high and the rip currents were very strong. I took one nasty spill and started to get the hang of getting up on a wave, but it was pretty rough out. After a quick shower I headed to Hillsong Church and met up with Ally. Over 500 people were baptized on their ‘Vision Sunday’, it was pretty awesome. All in all, a great 1st day down under!
