September 30, 2013: The Goegleins!!! Oh how we miss you. We only had about 10 minutes together today, but it was worth every moment!

September 29, 2013: What a fantastic time at the Cadwells! I had a hard time picking out which photos to post. Em was enthralled with all of the farm animals, and it was simply a beautiful fall day to enjoy with dear friends.

September 28, 2013: Getting realllllly close to our vacation so we’re trying to get A comfortable with the backpack.  Made it 30 minutes tonight… not bad! :)

September 27, 2013: Uncle Josh came to finish the playhouse today! The dutch door looks fantastic. Thanks Uncle Josh!

September 26, 2013: Beautiful drive to Upland this AM, followed by Ivanhoe’s on the way home. Perfect day at Taylor U!

September 25, 2013: My girls. So good to be home.

September 24, 2013: Spent the day working at IUPUI.  Love the Campus Center at all angles and all hours!

September 23, 2013: As I was making some Kenyan tea on this chilly AM, I checked my email while waiting for it to steep. I see an email from my good friend Shana, and one line in particular rattled me: “If you’ve seen the pictures on the news & thought, ‘that looks familiar,’ it’s because it is.” 

This tea, that I’m comfortably sitting here drinking to start my day, came from a shelf 30 yards inside the doors of the Westgate Mall in Nairobi that’s been overtaken by cowardly terrorists, senselessly killing nearly 70, injuring nearly 200 and holding hostage people who don’t deserve it.

Going to sip my tea a little slower this AM, pray a little longer, and be more thankful today for the blessings I don’t deserve.

September 22, 2013: New shipment of tailored clothes fresh from Thailand… and cheaper than Kohls.  #theworldisflat

September 21, 2013: Rainy day in Toronto, time to bounce.  Caught a cab with Adam, where I got to cheer him on for this first time using Global Entry. Chilled in the Air Canada lounge for a few hours, and then a quick nonstop home. Peace out Canada.

September 20, 2013: Last day in Toronto.  Presented in the morning, snuck away to the Apple store in the afternoon, and back to our reception in the early evening.  Uber’d to the Big 10 Party with the NJ crew (9 in a Yukon?) and arrived at a stunning building in the Distillery District of Toronto. It was amazing. Had a great time at the B10 party to wrap the day up. Always good to see so many friends and faces!

September 19, 2013: Day 2 in Canada.  Highlights included:

• Meeting another Brad Ward


• Thomas Friedman keynote


• Got the band back together for some Korean BBQ 


• Turning it up with Soup!

September 18, 2013: Flew to Toronto today. Customs was 75 minutes! Crazy. Zinch private party at the Hockey Hall of Fame, where I got to touch the Stanley Cup! Amazing. Had some Canada Dry (when in Rome) and then finished the day in Chinatown with Adam, where we got some amazing dumplings.

September 17, 2013: The milkman is here! Started our Oberweis deliveries today. I adore their chocolate milk.

September 16, 2013: Shopping with my little drivers.

September 15, 2013: Another fantastic day! Up early with A, and then to church. From there Jen and I went to Go Ape for our September date. What a BLAST! It was an incredible experience. Highly recommended. From there we went to Napolese for dinner which also did not disappoint.
