April 30, 2014:  Balboa Park + Old Town today.  Tried to go to Cabrillo National Monument at sunset but the park closed at 5pm. Bummer.  We also got to hear a preview of Cam’s sermon for Sunday! Excited for him to give his first message at Genesis!

April 29, 2014: La Jolla! We went down to the Children’s Pool to see the seals and then spent the rest of the AM hanging out on the beach.  I stepped on a bee which provided some spectacular memories. Cameron had his first In-N-Out trip!  After a beautiful sunset we headed to Rubio’s for some Fish Tacos… Taco Tuesday $1.50!   Great day.

April 28, 2014: Sandy Eggo! Caught an early flight to SD, met up with the Sprinkles for the week and headed to our hotel. Bunkbeds in a hotel room?! Awesome.   Headed to Mission Beach tonight to catch a ridiculous sunset while riding the wooden roller coaster.  How cool is that?

April 27, 2014: Morning story time with Uncle Josh!

April 26, 2014: Barn door install! Josh and Angie came for the weekend.  Josh built a ridiculously beautiful barn door out of reclaimed walnut. It’s perfect!   The girls went to Rita’s Tea Room for lunch.  Finished up the day with Ticket to Ride. Jen won, of course.

April 21, 2014: We’ve been giving Em different scratch-off prizes when she earns 10 stickers for family values (kindness, creativity, self control, gratefulness, instant obedience, honesty, patience, love, and generosity!). At first we took her to the dollar store to pick something out each time but now we are making them less about ‘stuff’ and more about ‘memories’.  For her 10th sticker on honesty, Em won a night of Candy Land with Daddy.  She smoked me every time.

April 20, 2014: Easter Sunday! Girls looked adorbs in their dresses. Had a nice dinner together and lots of playtime in the backyard.  Getting close to our backyard landscaping project!

April 19, 2014:  Bunnies at Allisonville Nursery, hammocking, and thumbs up for the garden fence!

April 18, 2014: Fence install day! We put a cedar fence around Jen’s garden to keep the critters out and add a bit of curb appeal. Elliott came over with his mad skillz to help build the thing. Couldn’t have done it without him.   I don’t think the neighbors appreciated our 10:30pm sawzall’n of the gutters. But hey, it’s done!
