New Year's Eve!

December 31, 2012: New Year’s Eve!  B and Jake came over for the feast; king crab legs, filet mignon, homemade cinnamon ice cream and choice beverages :) Jake and I went sledding around 11pm, played some Expedite and Phase 10, and celebrated the new year at midnight as Jen watched the Times Square ball drop for the first time in her life!

What a year. New house, new car, new baby, 11 countries visited, great friendships built, M and E living with us for 6+ months now…. overwhelming to think about it all! #blessed

Asleep!

December 30, 2012: Final Sunday of the year. A great service at Genesis Noblesville, Expedite with Jim in the afternoon, sledding with Em (“TOO COLD!”), and then she fell asleep while eating… ;)

December 29, 2012: Timelapse of the snow falling around midnight. Watching it fall as I rocked Annelise to sleep. Perfect.

Laying tile

Winter wonderland

December 29, 2012: Spent most of the day at B and Jake’s house, helping lay a new tile floor in the kitchen and laundry room. We also got more snow today, taking us to a foot or so in the backyard! Shot a timelapse tonight, video to follow.

December 28, 2012: Travel day! Back home sweet home. Had to buy a 100 gallon tote to make it home, and had to leave everything from my family there for my mom to bring another time. Where are we going to put all of this STUFF?! :)

TEA SALE

December 26, 2012: Down to St. Louis for the 6th and final Christmas party of the week! Some of the family couldn’t make it due to weather, so it ended up being a pretty low-key event. I was still feeling ill from my head cold and cough, so I ended up napping for an hour or two with Annelise :)  Stopped at Ruby Tuesday with the whole fam on the way back home for dinner, then a quick stop at Teavana for their HEAVENLY sale. Indeed! Stocked my shelves, $600 of tea for $150. Score! Will last for several years. Oh, and I found a new pair of $80 shoes in the parking lot that fit perfectly.

December 24, 2012: Spent most of the night up with Em, who was sick with the stomach flu and vomiting. Fun. :) Made it 25 months without a throw-up, so that was fun.

Ward Family Xmas tonight! Everyone’s feeling pretty drained and tired. Hoping we feel better, as we’re only half way through this trip!

December 23, 2012: Hulvey Family Christmas! The flu has arrived at my parent’s house, so we moved the party out to the country and then we rented out a country cottage to stay the night in. Fingers crossed we don’t all get sick!
