October 13, 2012: KENTUCKY! [Evening Edition] After the Woodford Reserve tour, we sipped some fantastic bourbon on the porch, and then bought some of our own… including the recent double oaked edition.
After that, it was off to Keeneland! 30,000 people watching a horse race every 30 minutes… also known as pandemonium. We were totally unprepared for the size of this crowd. But we bet, we lost, and we lived to tell the story.
On the way home, we stopped in Louisville to eat at Ghyslain. We stumbled across an Arts Market while parking, so we browsed the goods as everyone was packing up.
After leaving Louisville, it was back to Indy. But the night was still young! We headed downtown to the Eric Church concert, one of Jen’s favorite country artists. The place was rockin’, so we stayed until the encore before calling it a night. What a great birthday weekend!
