March 10, 2012: Just had a great weekend getaway to Story, Indiana. It’s such a neat place, anyone in the area should go at some point! (http://storyinn.com) The proprietors have purchased nearly all of the houses from this town, established 1851, and turned it into a neat bed/breakfast on the south side of Brown County State Park. There is a fantastic restaurant at the general store (above) and they grow a lot of their herbs/ingredients right behind!
We’ve been 5 times now and are always ready for the next getaway. With the fun shopping and arts in Nashville, IN and the Edinburgh Outlet Mall just a few miles up the interstate, it’s a quick, fun getaway an hour from Indy!
Plus….. my cell phone doesn’t work in Story. Perfect. :)
