Uluru + the clearest sky I've ever seen.

It's beautiful in the Outback!

The girls get ready for a hike.

We saw a dingo!

Adventures in the Outback

Uluru and the Moon

September 7, 2011: Today we left Sydney and headed to the Outback.  We landed in Ayers Rock, and then made the short drive to the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.

As soon as we stepped off the plane, we could see Uluru in the distance. Yeah, it’s pretty much a rock.  It’s so hard to describe though, and ‘a rock’ doesn’t do it justice.  Massive. Majestic. Awe-Inspiring. Orange… or red?   It’s truly an incredible sight, and to then learn the history and significance about it… you’ve just got to experience this one yourself.

This was also the purest, bluest sky I’ve ever experienced in my life.  These photos are straight out of the camera, no adjustments at all. Seeing the moon that clearly at 3pm in the afternoon?!?! And the stars at night… breathtaking.
