July 31, 2014: Dinner with the Russell’s!  Smoked a pork tenderloin which came out really nice and juicy.  Our poor girls missed nap and had to go to bed early so they didn’t get much playtime, but the conversation was great and they brought Jeni’s Ice Cream which was a delicious, unexpected treat! 

July 30, 2014: This hummingbird is really loving our Rose of Sharon!

July 29, 2014: A day away with my best friend! We celebrated 8 years of marriage today with a trip down to Brown County.  We bummed around the town, went for a hike in the park, had some good food and drinks and got up and personal with some cows at the Salt Creek Inn.  Wonderful day with an incredible woman.  I’m so blessed.

July 28, 2014: Our water heater busted today, but Wally was to the rescue! Saved us from walking downstairs to 50+ gallons of water in the basement.  Nice $300 investment :)

July 27, 2014: Leftover pulled pork nachos….. yum.  A is enjoying her new lawnmower too! 

July 26, 2014: A day that started with smoke on the porch (fire up the grill!) and ended with smoke on the porch (Cubans!)  Smoked about 15lbs of pulled pork today for our cookout to celebrate the goeglein's being back in town!  The pork was delicious, the company was even better. #villaging

July 25, 2014: Em dictated a few notes for me today. Full of love. :)   Izakaya for dinner tonight - the girls did very well at the hibachi grill! Em wanted her friend in the photo too.

July 24, 2014: Picnic at the park!

July 23, 2014: Amato’s wood-fired pizza for the 2nd meal in a row. Delish.

July 22, 2014: Heading to Ohio for work and I saw the Google Street Car! 

July 21, 2014: Cinnabon for breakfast, a decision we thoroughly regretted.

July 20, 2014: Flatbreads on the grill and 2 deer in the backyard at sunset!

July 19, 2014: Camping in the backyard tonight! Fun experience with the girls.

July 18, 2014: I came home to Cameron cooking in my kitchen, which was a strange and welcome surprise.  Dinner at friends tonight, where Em thoroughly enjoyed playing with Cooper! 

July 17, 2014: We had a little accident during Daddy Pushes Daughter time tonight.

July 16, 2014: Dinner with the Heaths! I smoked a tri-tip roast which turned out great. Had a nice little bonfire + smores to enjoy this chilly July evening.

July 15, 2014: Because some days you just need a DQ Blizzard.

July 14, 2014: New Fuego Nalgene bottles!

July 13, 2014: Flew home today.  I got upgraded, Jen didn’t and they wouldn’t let me A) swap the person next to her, or B) give her the seat, because of ‘increased security for international flights’. I truly wanted to sit with my wife instead! 

Enjoyed a 3 hour layover by having a “progressive dinner” through ATL. Started at the #1 airport restaurant in the US for soup, then to Cafe Intermezzo for my favorite ATL salad. A beer at Sweetwater and dessert at a local bakery! It was a fun way to enjoy our layover at the airport, spend time together, change plans on the fly, walk a bit and eat great food!

Oh, and Jen’s photo at Customs. I made fun of it… then we get to the TSA guy, he looks at it, looks at her, and looks at it again… the looks up and says… “Really?” 

July 12, 2014: A relaxing last day in Cabo. Capped it off with a great sunset, just watching the waves crash for over an hour. Reconnected and renewed.
