March 15, 2013: Bummed around the beach today.  Annelise got her first feel of ocean and sand. Em spent a few hours just playing in the sand, shelling, digging, splashing.  She’s at such a fun age!

March 14, 2013: A little chilly today, so we skipped the beach and spent time around Key West.  Saw the southernmost point in the continental US, Em got her pic with a lion, stopped by Mile 0 of Highway 1, and ended the afternoon at the West Martello Tower and Gardens.

March 13, 2013: Key West!  Played at the beach, walked the pier to feed the fish and birds, and went down to Mallory Square to eat.  Em was excited to ‘write her name’, which was pretty cute to watch. Loving all this time with the girls!

March 12, 2013: Happy birthday to youuuu! Left Indy in the AM and flew to Miami, then hopped in a car and drove Highway 1 down to Key West. Very cloudy day. Best it would have been much nicer if the sun was out! Em got to watch a movie because she was good… and Annelise was sleeping :)   Made it here around 8pm, was welcomed with a cake, champagne and balloons for Jen! It was a delicious strawberry cake. So, so good!

March 11, 2013: I <3 our community of friends.  Had about 20 people over tonight to start planning an awareness/fundraising event for NightLight International. And of course, lots of food, laughs and smiles along the way.  #1group2locations

March 10, 2013: Stroopwafels for breakfast, then Em decided she wanted to dress herself for church :) Dinner at B and Jake’s followed by a quick FaceTime with Grandma D. What a great weekend!

March 9, 2013: Spent most of the day running errands with Em to get ready for vacation next week.  She was a GREAT teammate to get everything done, so we stopped for some froyo. We got our bowl and she said… “This is Emmie’s. Daddy, don’t share.”

Tonight we lit what we hope is the last fire of the year.  Can’t wait for warmer weather!
