September 4, 2014: Boat day! Similar gameplan to last week, with lunch at Cabbage Key.  Saw SO MANY DOLPHINS and they were totally putting a show on for us. Flipping out of the water, playing and splashing.  Justin jumped in and touched (punched?) one, which provided lots of entertainment as well. :)

September 3, 2014:  A beautiful sunset capped off with a cigar, a brew and a great chat with the guys.

September 2, 2014: Sunset on the beach.  Loving this season of life and the friends we are surrounded with.  So thankful to have this week with them! 

September 1, 2014:  INCREDIBLE NIGHT!!!! We took our chairs out by the nest that hatched 3 turtles yesterday, and waited.  The “turtle patrol” said that nests usually hatch over the course of 3 nights, so we thought we’d see if we could catch 1 or 2 more. Well, we saw “the boil”.  Slowly, little turtles started pushing out of the sand. You could see 1, then 2, then 3. But they weren’t moving, just slowly rising.  And then all of a sudden, it happened.  Almost like an explosion.  65 baby turtles come up out of the sand and start scampering fo the ocean.

Since it’s Labor Day weekend, a lot of people were partying and had all their lights on.  Bad for turtles, who instinctively head towards light.  So we pulled out our cell phones and started guiding them to the ocean, 2-3 at a time! Such an inspiring moment to be a part of. We’ll never forget tonight.  Em got to be a part of it too, helping Mommy, which was extra special!
