November 29, 2012: An amazing dinner compliments of the Goegleins tonight! So good. Thanks Justin and Jordi! Jen finally got up the gusto to try out our homemade moby wrap, and it worked! Tonight we worked on the baby book a bit. Yep, went just about how it did with Emelyn!
November 27, 2012: Dear Emelyn, I love watching you grow up. I always have. But now that your little sister is here, I think about when you were that age… and I smile. But I’m really glad you’re 2 now, because you’re a TON of fun! I love watching you play Doctor and check on Annelise. Or pull up a chair to help cook. Or picking up the DVD remote to “call” Grandma and Grandpa, then walk around the house and have a conversation with them. I love hearing you count to 5, or randomly say some ABC’s. You sing, oh how you sing! I couldn’t even list the songs here that you’re already picking up on. This afternoon, you were singing “Happy Birthday to ME” as you played with your dolls. So cute.
You’re going to be an amazing big sister, Emelyn. You’re already showing so many “first child” traits, from your strong leadership to your ambition to get something done right to just caring a whole lot about baby sister. And you also care so much about your best friend Estrella. It saddens me to think about when she might leave in a few years and how much that’s going to break your heart. You’ve been best buds for nearly 5 months now, and you treat her just like your little sister too.
Don’t change a bit from who you are. Be loud. Scream. Be sensitive. Smile constantly. Speak your mind. Sing about Jesus. Be jealous for Mommy’s hugs. Ask me to kiss your ouchies and make them better. Ask me to sing one more song before bed, even though you don’t know what “bad singer” means yet. I’ll sing my heart out for you, and dance even more. You and me, we’re going to be buddies forever.

Got to see counterfeit $20’s today after a kid got scammed on Craigslist. Sucks to be him. Small group tonight, where Annelise got loved and doted on. Cam’s got that look in his eye.
November 24, 2012: Deck the halls! Busted out our Christmas decor today. The Goegleins stopped by in the evening, and Justin helped me fix a strand of broken lights… at the top peak of our garage. Then he dropped his phone in our yard; a quick Find my iPhone located it so we met up at the Mothership (Menards) to swap.
November 23, 2012: Black Friday! I got Uno for $3 and a set of Pyrex for $10. Yippee! Aunt B and Sugar stopped back by today, as well as Grandma and Grandpa Davis. Annelise had her first bath, and we also got a lot of smiles from her today :) She’s sleeping through the night… which is strange and welcome. We go to bed around 12-1am, and sleep until 8-9am. We’ll take it! Today started off rough, with Jen getting shart-blasted during the first diaper change. Had to get a pic :)
November 22, 2012: Thanksgiving! Great food, Expedite and wine by the fireplace. Got the Xmas lights hung, thanks to Jake’s help in the tree… blew the gutters clean with the backpack leafblower… fun day. :)
November 21, 2012: Photos with Karissa followed by a run to the camera store and Hotbox Breadsticks with Josh! Whoo hoo! Jen’s family rolled in town for Thanksgiving tonight. Also, Jim and Josh and I went to see Flight tonight! It was a good movie; totally not what I expected, but still a good flick.
